Remembering Disney.... FINALLY

9 months after the fact, I finally printed out ALL of my Disney pictures from May 2014. I knew it would be a daunting task and I think that is what has kept me from doing it.. but don't get me wrong, I have been itching to get it done!

With such a big event like DISNEY, it is so hard to choice just a few (ranging from 4 to 16) pictures to put into the album. I had almost 200 pictures printed! THIS is where I am struggling with Project Life = I am a picture hoarder. And with being a picture hoarder, I am left with random left over pictures that don't make it to the album and think, now what am I going to do with these? I am so scatterbrained when it comes to putting pictures together. I dabbled with the thought of making a stand alone album just for Disney because I knew I was going to have a ton of pictures, but I wanted it to be included with the rest of the summer/yearly album.

I searched Pinterest for possible inspiration for cute Disney themed Project Life spreads but everything was a bit too cheesy for me. I wanted to keep it simple and not have it scream DISNEY! I saw on Instagram someone bought a set of Disney washi tapes at Joann's Fabrics so that was my first stop on the Disney PL embellishment hunt this past weekend! I have used Joann's for fabrics and yarns in the past and never really looked into their paper crafts and I must say, I was very impressed! First of all, I found multiple acrylic stamping blocks there, which were nearly impossible to find at Michael's, which is my go-to craft store! I have developed a bad habit of going to Michael's almost every weekend the past few months so I knew they didn't have a very large selection of Disney stickers so I planned scanning Joann's sticker selection as well. I didn't find the set of Disney washi tape but I did find these 2 adorable individuals. Joann's also had a very good sticker selection but I didn't want to go too crazy because I knew I still needed to make a stop at Michael's as well. I bought these cute Mickey Mouse head stickers and a smaller acrylic block that was on sale for $1!!

My trip to Michael's was a little quicker. I got my PL inserts and a few Disney stickers and was out of there. It was packed in there!

Try Try Again

I have owned this blog since 2008 and I have barely touched it. I started it for Art School and haven't touched it since. So here I am, dusting off the old blog, in hopes to connect to the wonderful web in all things I obsess over. I have the habit of starting new hobbies and then losing interest in a few days, weeks, etc. It's a new year, I want to start fresh and follow through with all things I start. Since the start of the new year, I have invested in a planner (or 2) and have managed to keep up with it all month! yay go me! I am fully aware that in this day of age, iPhone's are more than capable of serving as reminders, calendars, jotting things down, but there are just too many steps in using my phone as a daily planner/reminder. I would much rather have a cute planner in my purse at all times that I can customize to my liking.

Recently I have subscribed to Studio Calico for their monthly Project Life kits. I received my first one 2 days ago and I LOVE IT! But, I have come to realize that I'm not completely up to date with these new "scrapbook" accessories and add-ons therefore, I'm constantly looking for inspiration and guidance online. So here I am! Trying to get myself out there, step out of the Project Life/Planner shadows and interact with others. New Year, new me, right? I am a totally shy hermit who likes to just watch, and not participate. I scour the internet and teach myself rather than ask for help. I've taught myself to knit, crochet, PL, color my hair, the list goes on and on. It is about time I join this amazing community of incredible creators!!

Leah: Dude, I think it's best to just tell 'em.

Juno MacGuff: I'm Pregnant.

Bren: Oh, God.

Juno MacGuff: But, uh ah, I'm going to give it up for adoption and I already found the perfect couple, they're going to pay for the medical expenses and everything. And and what ah 30 or odd weeks we can just pretend that this never happened.

Mac MacGuff: You're pregnant?

Juno MacGuff: I'm sorry. I'm sorry... And if it is any consolation I have heartburn that is radiating in my knee caps and I haven't taken a dump since like Wednesday... morning.

Bren: I didn't even know that you were sexually active.

Juno MacGuff: I, uh...

Mac MacGuff: Who is the kid?

Juno MacGuff: The-the baby? I don't really know much about it other than, I mean, it has fingernails, allegedly. Bren: Nails, really?

Juno MacGuff: Yeah!

Mac MacGuff: No, I know I mean who's the father, Juno?

Juno MacGuff: Umm... It's Paulie Bleeker.

Mac MacGuff: Paulie Bleeker?

Juno MacGuff: What?

Mac MacGuff: I didn't think he had it in him.

Leah: I know, right?

Playing Catch Up

Well its been a few days so I figured I should write something.
I got up on time this morning!! Class was good, same old. I have a lot of work to do in the next couple days. It's pretty stressing just thinking about it, luckily a lot of it is fun stuff to do. But its all the stuff I need to buy in order to complete all these projects.
I need to manage my money better. I also need a better job! I wish it were easier than it is :( It sucks actually liking my job.... it makes it that much harder to look for another one even tho i really need to.

I hope that when I become a parent I can teach my child how to behave in public. I know that it isn't ALL the parents fault but come on?

Roll down the windows

Warmest day of the year so far. I wish it were this temperature all the time, except summer :) I love sitting on the deck reading a book or magazine and feeling the sun on my face, driving with the window's all the way down and whipping out the flip flops. But only a few more hours to enjoy it until I have to go to work and only stare at the beautiful weather through the window :(

Starting a Blog

I never really got the whole "blog" thing, but am now interested just because I like to write things down and I have more time on the computer than writting in a journal. I'm not really sure what I'm going to put in here but we'll see. :)
